Mayur is a Chartered Accountant with almost 4 decades of professional experience.
He leads the direct tax practice at the firm, and specialises in litigation management, representation, and tax consultancy & advisory.
He has served as the Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of SBI – SG Global Securities Services Private Limited, a JV between SBI and Société Générale of France, and SBI Pension Private Limited, an SBI Subsidiary.
He is a visiting faculty at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (Reputed Business schools in India).
He actively participates in research activities of the BCAS and has been the erstwhile convener of Research Committee and a member of the Taxation Committee of the BCAS.
He was appointed to the Expert group for finalizing the syllabus of the elective paper at the CA Final curriculum.
He is on the panel of reviewers of the ICAI for review of published accounts of listed companies.
He has authored various books and articles of professional interest, including various popular textbooks for accountancy and taxation for B.Com. course.
He is a regular speaker at various seminars organised by professional bodies and at Regional Training Institutes of the Income-tax Department, at national and international conferences.
